Cold process soap making is the act of mixing natural oils with an alkali (sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye). The result is a chemical process called saponification, where the composition of the oils changes with the help of the lye to create a bar of soap. It is also known as saponified oils.

In addition, lye is added to oils to saponify the oil, and the temperature is cooled down to room temperature before adding it to the vessel. Other ingredients like herb essential oil/milk are added & blended to make a smooth & thick better. This treatment causes a chemical reaction called saponification which takes up to 48 hours.
